I wished I would have had access to an art teacher to help me learn certain skills and overcome my art obstacles. I never had this opportunity. I used books, classes, and courses...but I never had the individual attention that would have accelerated my learning How I learned art was with self directed education. This means taking advantage of the resources available to learn what I wanted. This is a completely viable route when learning art and the term self taught seems to be what people call that. It is not self teaching to learn from authors, artists, and professors just because the education was not formal. A lot of very talented people taught and influenced me so that I could be where I am today. During the process of my self directed learning there were many times that I struggled and needed individual attention to help me and now I can be that person for you. Click to get access to your own personal art teacher. I remember my first time oil painting and I really had no clue where to begin, how to begin, or what I was doing wrong. After some frustration I went to a book store and spent hours reading about oil painting (thank you Barnes & Noble bookstore). Still it was reading, it is very difficult to get feeback from a book and I had to see pictures to show me not just tell me what to do. When I was trying to learn art, there was no Youtube (shhh, I'm old), I did take classes and courses but those have limits also, most importantly someone to give me the individual attention I needed with feedback. I really could have used someone like the art teacher I am now to guide me and advance my art skills. I would have become a better artist so much faster. Everyone can become a better artist. Some people think that art is for the gifted and talented. I didn't wake up Christmas morning and open up a gift that made me an artist. My drawings as a little kid were just like eveyone's, scribbles. But what I did have is a desire to learn art. So strong was my desire that I chose to invest in becoming an artist with thousands of hours and dollars over time. That's a weird gift if you ask me (please don't give me gifts that requires thousands of my hours and dollars okay). Those that see art as a gift are actually seeing desire, passion, and mastery. I had the desire to have individual instruction all through my life, but I just did not have that resource available to me. This is why I am very excited to announce my online individual art lessons. I spent the last year showing people who I am and what I can teach them on Youtube, built createful art, spent thousands of hours learning, teaching, creating (over 12 years for sure) to be at a place where I able to provide this opportunity for you. The reason is because this is the opportunity I had always wanted. What can I do for you? I can teach you in whatever art medium you want. I tailor your art lessons to your specific art goals, personal style, and skill level. I have studied several different mediums and styles so that I would not be limited by what I could teach you. I can look at an art piece and know exactly how to create it, so I can break it down for you, and the bonus is you create something that inspired you. I can pinpoint the mistakes that are making you feel frustrated with your work. Finding those things holding a student back takes an understanding of the student (a teacher should not destroy personal style or creativity) and all the elements and principles of art, all the mediums, and how skills build on each other so that mastery is possible. I have taught kids, teenagers, parents and grandparents. They all share something in common, they are unique and individual lessons is the best way to get the most out of their time and money for art lessons. You can watch the video below for an example, but keep in mind your needs are unique too. This art lesson was with my friend Jeneal. I got to know her art goals by asking her questions, in this case it was to create a certain art piece for her husband. The style she wanted to use was abstract and she prefered acrylics. She had never painted fine art really before accept when she was young. Jeneal also had about an hour of time to complete this project and came without supplies, because she had no clue what to get. I tailored the lesson by making her goals, my goals. This was a gift from her so I wanted her to own this. So I showed her the basics and let her do the creating, until we began to run out of time so I helped (she had a specific time limit). She was at a beginner level so finger painting would be something comfortable for her to do and a skill she had right away. I taught her the basic things she would need so she could paint in the future. We saved time and costs by covering one of my old paintings because she didn't have her own (we were not letting that stop us). She came away with an awesome art piece by her that her husband was very happy with, she learned a lot, and we had a great time. This my friend could be you with lessons tailored to your individual needs, style, and skill level. Every question was answered, every obstacle was surpassed, the skill and ability level increased, the creativity blossomed and the smiles followed...but not because of me, but because Jeneal and I were determined and invested in art together. Are you ready to take your art to the next level to improve your artwork? If you are ready for art lessons with me sign up now. The opportunity is there. I wish I could guarantee this opportunity would always be there, but I only have so many time slots available. It is how it is, I am a human with other things going on in my life. Not sure if you are ready? If my friend who loves marathons asked me to join her for one next week, there is no way I would possibly be ready. What I could do is invest my time and energy in running down my driveway for starts. Then maybe I would do it again if I saw results and it didn't kill me. This isn't a marathon, this is signing up for a small amount of time, at low cost, with a guarantee or your money back. If you didn't learn a single thing from me you're only out 30 minutes of your life. You work with an actual person (talk about great customer service). There is no pressure from me if you decide you never want to take a lesson again. All you do is nothing, don't sign up again, I won't even ask, and there will be no hard feelings. It is an investment, but it is small, and most important it's a start in a direction that could make a huge difference for you. Online isn't for you? I hear you, I wish I could physically be there, and if I can I would. Online has it's perks too. We both don't have to leave the house. Say goodbye to navigating in bad weather and traffic. No more waiting because you are early to your lessons and shuffling from one thing to another. We can wear our slippers, and I really don't care if you put on make-up and how you look period (accept for naked, that would be weird).
I can actually focus on you and what your doing without the distraction of other students and you can actually get all your questions answered. Technology is so advanced now that I can visit my family any time by just skyping them and that is what we do. I can see there faces, they show me things by just turning their computer camera, phone, or i-pad towards it. As long as you can learn how to use Skype, or already know how to use it, then it is basically sitting next to each other creating art together. Learn more and sign up here How it works
