Learn how to paint mountains covered with trees inspired by the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Artist Ashley Krieger is traveling and painting in all 50 U.S. states. Today she takes you to Tennessee to capture the trees in the Smoky Mountains and valley at Cades Cove. Here you can learn how she painted this scene. While we were in Tennessee we made a visit to Cades Cove, in the Smoky Mountains. This is a hot destination in the fall for nature lovers and it's easy to see why. The trees turn colors (reds, yellows, oranges) and the fog rises throughout the day, making the mountains covered with forest look like they are on fire. It is absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look. The history here is also remarkable and there is so much to learn about those who lived here. The old cabins and farms are mostly still intact and fun to visit. You can also see wildlife, such as deer, wild turkeys, and black bears. We had a great visit and enjoyed stepping back into the past. Thank you, Tennessee. Learn to Paint the Smoky MountainsAs mentioned in the video:
