How To Draw & Paint a Shamrock

3/4/2016

This is a fun art lesson for St Patrick's Day. Learn how to draw and paint a shamrock. This lesson is great for kids. We learn to draw with a watercolor pencil and then paint the shamrock with gouache paints, you can also use watercolors as well. We sure had fun learning how to paint a clover and splattering paint on them for a fun! Hope you enjoy this lesson too!

The skill level for this art lesson is for ages eight and older, but can vary depending on your child's abilities. I recommend for younger kids, ages 3-7,  letting them paint the whole paper a mix of greens and then asking them to cut out 3 large hearts using the paper (you may have to help with this step). Then paste the hearts in a shamrock shape on a clean white paper and drawing a line for stem.
