How To Paint a Rooster

Nothing says country living farmhouse style like a rooster. The great thing about roosters is they are easy to paint which makes for a fun and easy DIY project for your home. In this lesson we learn to paint an easy rooster with acrylics. Give yourself permission to relax and paint and let's start creating!

Water in a jar
Paper Towel

Color Mixes:
black and white- background
quinacridone magenta + phthalocyanine Green (blue shade) = dark grey
phthalocyanine blue (Green shade) + brilliant blue + cadmium yellow Medium Hue + white= soft blue
ivory black + emerald Green + bronze yellow = olive green add white for a lighter green
cadmium red light Hue + quinacridone magenta + black = deep red
bronze yellow (no mixing needed)- add yellow if you want
