Nothing speaks love like a heart. Let's create a quilt- like heart using oil pastels! I will show you how to mix pastels to get the colors you want, even when you have a limited amount of colors. I will also show you techniques to create texture to your artwork.
This lesson is a great project for all ages. A child under eight may need help to draw the squares. Ask them to create the squares larger, and use a smaller paper size so the child does not grow tired of mixing the pastels over such a large area. You can also give them more pastel colors to choose from so they don't have to mix as much. This lesson is super fun because you get to use your hands a lot. You also get to experiment with mixing colors. This is a great art piece to hang on your wall for Valentines Day or to give to someone you love. I am excited to see how your quilted heart turns out.
