While we were in Arkansas we stayed at Hot Springs National Park. We got an RV spot right next to the stream. It was calm and peaceful with a crane who liked to visit. The kids especially liked the obstacle of getting across the stream without getting wet. It wasn't deep or swift. If they fell in, we would laugh, and try again. Then, a huge storm came with flood warnings and the stream became a raging river! I wouldn't let the kids near the water after that. We hunkered down in the RV for a few days and left when the rain wouldn't let up. I'm glad I had the time to enjoy the fall colors, our crane friend, this beautiful stream and capturing what I felt here in this painting.
