Story: This is the 29th state on my traveling and painting journey around the U.S. While we were in Washington, we went to visit Seattle. I have so many memories of Seattle. When I was young I would come to visit my cousins in nearby Bellevue and this was the only time I got in a BIG city. After I graduated high school I came up for an adventure and lived near Seattle for a year. Later I came with two tiny kids. This time I came with my whole family. This city just brings out the maturing child in me. Where else can you put gum on the gum wall, ride the Ferris Wheel, feed the seagulls, see a space ship on a building, climb on pig statues and still be adulting it? This city just has a young-fun-vibe that I can't get enough of and my goal was to capture that in this painting. Enjoy.
