Story: This is the 30th state on my traveling and painting journey around the U.S.When I was in South Dakota I saw many sunflower fields and stormy skies. At the time of my visit, there was major flooding. Many roads were closed, houses were underwater, and silos had exploded from the grains expanding. We experienced several lightning storms with downpours while we were there too. We had to leave to escape the flooding. On our way out, rays of light would peek behind the stormy clouds. It was gorgeous, so I added it to my painting. I hope you enjoy!
