Story: This is the 31th state on my traveling and painting journey around the U.S. When I was in Iowa I saw rolling hills of corn. I couldn't help but thankfully think of these farmers for my beloved popcorn. The state is about big skies too and we enjoyed finding shapes in the clouds. The clouds on this day look a lot like popcorn too, I call them popcorn clouds. We entertained ourselves at Missouri Valley in Desoto National Wildlife refuge where we bird watched. We also looked at a lot of old stuff from a sunken steamboat from 1865. It was a fun visit.
